September 13-15: Starvy Creek Bluegrass Fall Festival, Conway. The 27th annual edition of this big fest. Concessions, camping and nonstop great music from some of the greats in bluegrass. Starvy Bluegrass

September 22: Junk in Trunk Swap Meet. Vendors from across several states will fill the Cowan Civic Center with junk finds, one-of-a-kind items, boutiques, shabby chic, vintage, handmade, antiques, primitives & more! $5 general admission; kids 12 and under get in free. Cowan Civic Center 500 East Elm St.

September 29: Phillipsburg Fall Festival. Antique cars and machinery. Crafts, holiday decor, antiques, gifts and more. Raffle, giveaways all day. All proceeds benefit the local community.

September 29: Girls fish free at Bennett Spring State Park on this day with no tag or license required. Designated girls only fishing area, fishing and fly casting instructions as well as cooking and cleaning fish instructions. Starts at 7:30 a.m. and runs through 7:15 p.m. 26250 MO-64A.

FALL, Y’ALL!

The autumn equinox happens at 8:54 p.m. on Sept. 22. It’s a Saturday celebration as the sun crosses the celestial equator and the nights now become longer than the days.
